A peça "A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder" lidera a lista de indicados ao Tony, principal prêmio americano dedicado ao teatro, com dez indicações. O cineasta Woody Allen e os atores Bryan Cranston e Neil Patrick Harris, conhecidos por seus papéis na TV, também foram indicados.

Woody Allen recebeu sua primeira indicação para o prêmio. Ele concorre na categoria de melhor roteiro para musical, por "Bullets Over Broadway".

Bryan Cranston, de "Breaking Bad", foi indicado por seu papel na peça "All The Way". Já Neil Patrick Harris, conhecido pela série "How I Met Your Mother", está no musical "Hedwig and the Angry Inch", segunda montagem mais indicada (oito).

O anúncio das indicações foi feito nesta terça (29). A cerimônia de entrega dos prêmios acontecerá no dia 8 de junho, em Nova York.

O evento deste ano será apresentado pelo australiano Hugh Jackman, pela quarta vez. Durante o anúncio de hoje, Jackman fez uma aparição surpresa para lembrar os espectadores da data da cerimônia.
