Esnobado no Globo de Ouro, "Que Horas Ela Volta?" foi indicado ao Critics' Choice Awards, premiação concedida pela associação dos críticos dos Estados Unidos. A lista de concorrentes foi divulgada nesta segunda-feira (14).

A produção brasileira disputa a categoria melhor filme estrangeiro ao lado de "A Assassina" (Taiwan/China), "Boa Noite, Mamãe" (Áustria), "Cinco Graças" (Turquia) e "O Filho de Saul" (Hungria).

"Mad Max: Estrada da Fúria" lidera nas demais categorias, com 13 indicações, entre elas a melhor filme e melhor atriz, para Charlize Theron. Empatados na vice-liderança estão "Carol", "Perdido em Marte" e "O Regresso", com nove cada. Em terceiro, "A Grande Aposta" e "Spotlight - Segredos Revelados" concorrem em sete categorias (veja lista abaixo).

Em "Que Horas Ela Volta?", Regina Casé é uma empregada que trabalha há anos na casa de uma mesma família rica. A chegada da filha que ela deixara em Pernambuco, Jéssica (Camila Márdila), com visão crítica sobre a relação de submissão a que a mãe é submetida no emprego, muda completamente sua trajetória.

O longa de Anna Muylaert disputa uma indicação brasileira também na categoria melhor filme estrangeiro no Oscar.

Nos últimos 15 anos, dois filmes brasileiros chegaram a figurar entre os indicados ao Critic's Choice: "Cidade de Deus", de Fernando Meirelles, e "Diários de Motocicleta", de Walter Salles; nenhum dos dois foi indicado ao Oscar de melhor filme estrangeiro, embora ambos tenham disputado em outras categorias –o último ganhou por melhor canção original.

Para os prêmios televisivos, a série "Narcos", do diretor brasileiro José Padilha, e o ator Wagner Moura, indicados ao Globo de Ouro, não foram lembrados.

Os vencedores da 21ª edição do Critics' Choice Awards serão revelados no dia 17 de janeiro.
