Jay-Z liderou a lista de indicados ao Grammy, anunciada pela premiação nesta terça-feira (28).

O rapper americano concorre em oito categorias com as músicas do confessional "4:44", seu 13º álbum de estúdio e primeiro trabalho em quatro anos, abordando temas como infidelidade, amor e fraturas sociais.

O álbum competirá como disco do ano contra "24K Magic", de Bruno Mars, "Melodrama", da cantora neozelandesa Lorde, "Awaken, My Love!", de Childish Gambino e "Damn.", de Kendrick Lamar.

Lamar assume a vice-liderança com sete indicações pelo álbum que bateu recordes no streaming e se tornou o lançamento mais vendido do ano —posto que perdeu recentemente para "Reputation", de Taylor Swift.

Já o havaiano Bruno Mars, que passou em turnê pelo Brasil neste mês, foi contemplado em seis categorias, incluindo as três principais; e Childish Gambino, o alter ego do ator Donald Glover, em cinco.

Neste ano, a seleção de indicados evidenciou o hip-hop e o R&B, e deixou de fora das principais categorias astros do pop, como Ed Sheeran e Katy Perry, que não recebeu nenhuma indicação. As mulheres foram ofuscadas por um número maior de homens.

A cantora SZA é a mulher com mais indicações à próxima edição do Grammy, concorrendo em cinco categorias, entre elas a de melhor novo artista.

"Despacito", grande sucesso do cantor porto-riquenho Luis Fonsi com a colaboração de Justin Bieber e Daddy Yankee, concorre em três categorias, entre elas as de canção e de gravação do ano.

A 60ª edição do Grammy, principal premiação da indústria fonográfica, será realizada no dia 28 de janeiro na Madison Square Garden, em Nova York. No Brasil, a cerimônia será transmitida pelo canal pago TNT, a partir das 22h30.
