    Ambulante vende suvenires na época da eleição do papa Francisco

    A partir da próxima segunda-feira (7), caminhões de comida e vendedores ambulantes de lembrancinhas não poderão mais circular pelos arredores da praça São Pedro, no Vaticano.

    A decisão foi tomada pelo comissário de Roma, Francesco Paolo Tronca –nomeado para governar a cidade interinamente após a queda do prefeito Ignazio Marino–, e faz parte das medidas de segurança para o Jubileu Extraordinário da Misericórdia, megaevento da Igreja Católica que acontecerá entre 8 de dezembro de 2015 e 20 de novembro de 2016.

    Peregrinos compram suvenires na praça São Pedro, no Vaticano

    Convocado pelo papa Francisco, o chamado "Ano Santo" levará milhões de peregrinos à capital italiana e ao Vaticano. Já a proibição valerá até o fim do período jubilar.

    Em novembro, a Prefeitura de Roma já havia vetado a atuação de homens fantasiados de centuriões nos arredores do Coliseu. Em protesto, um deles até ameaçou se jogar do monumento, mas acabou desistindo.

    Segundo Tronca, a iniciativa tem como objetivo "tutelar a segurança urbana e o decoro do patrimônio artístico, histórico e monumental da cidade", uma vez que esses "centuriões" agem frequentemente com "modos inoportunos, insistentes e até agressivos".
