Foram anunciadas nesta terça-feira (15) as indicações ao prêmio Will Eisner de 2014, o mais importante dos quadrinhos norte-americanos.

Os destaques na lista deste ano incluem "Hawkeye", HQ solo do Gavião Arqueiro, da Marvel, o épico espacial "Saga", da Image, e a minissérie de terror "The Wake", da DC (sob o selo Vertigo), cada uma concorrendo em três categorias ou mais.

"Hawkeye" (publicada no Brasil na revista "Capitão América e Gavião Arqueiro") recebeu indicações a melhor série, melhor roteirista para Matt Fraction e melhor desenhista e melhor artista de capa para David Aja.

A série retrata os momentos do super-herói em que ele não está acompanhado da equipe dos Vingadores, misturando humor com narrativa noir.

Escrita por Brian K. Vaughan e tem capas desenhadas por Fiona Staples, "Saga" concorre praticamente nas mesmas categorias. A HQ, que já levou como melhor série em 2013, conta a história de um casal que lutou em lados opostos de uma guerra cósmica e que tem de fugir após ter um filho.

Já "The Wake" foi indicada em melhor roteirista (Scott Snyder), melhor série limitada, melhor desenhista (Sean Murphy) e melhor artista de capa (Jordie Bellaire e, novamente, Murphy).

O brasileiro Frank Martin foi indicado na categoria melhor colorista, pelo seu trabalho na série que mistura faroeste com ficção científica "East of West".
